On this page you will find all of the transition information you need as we look forward to you joining us in September.
We appreciate that your child starting high school is stressful (even without the current pandemic) – but rest assured we are doing everything we can to make this transition as easy and enjoyable as we can.
This page will give you all the information, materials and contacts you need as you become part of our community. Please do not hesitate to get in touch. No question is too small.
I am writing to update you with regard to transition to Secondary School.
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the scheduled meeting for new parents due to the current COVID -19 situation and the need to maintain social distancing.
Whilst we cannot do the usual planned transition activities at present please be reassured that we are holding meetings (virtually) with all of our feeder Primary Schools in order to collect appropriate information about our September intake of students. As well as passing on information about academic progress, and additional needs Year 6 Teachers are highlighting to us those students who they feel would benefit from additional support in transition.
We cannot predict when we will be advised that a wider return to school is safe and we therefore do not want to make false promises. However, we will be in touch as soon as we can with further details.
In the meantime we are in the process of setting up a ‘Transition’ link on the school website. In the next few weeks we will be able to share the Headteacher’s welcome, links to form teachers, a virtual tour, and other useful information. In addition if you have not returned your New Entrant Document, with all the contact information and permission forms completed then please can you do so as soon as possible to ensure that all student logins and communication systems are set up in time for September. If you need any assistance with this then contact the School Office by email: email@example.com
We will be in touch again soon.

School Uniform is available to buy from Wirral Uniform in the Pyramids Shopping
Precinct and The Other Uniform Store at Brimstage Hall Courtyard.
We have been in touch with them to find out stock availability and ways to shop for
uniform under the current restrictions and here is a summary of their replies:
Wirral Uniform: They are well stocked with Co-op Academy uniform and the shop in
Birkenhead has now reopened. They have implemented social distancing and other
measures to reduce risk to staff and customers. Trying on will not be permitted and
only 1 parent/guardian per child will be allowed into the shop. They are encouraging
parents to buy early to avoid queuing and to order online at wirraluniforms.com for
either home delivery or click and collect if possible. They have extended their returns
policy to 60 days. They have said they will open for Sunday appointments for parents
of children with special needs. Tel: 0151 647 9588
The Other Uniform Store: They have residual stock which will be prioritised for new
Year 7 pupils if necessary. They are operating an appointment system on a half
hourly basis, allowing two families into the shop at a time, for sizing purposes:
http://www.schoolstuff.direct/appointments/ Opening hours have been extended to
include Sundays to help with demand for appointments. Sizing samples are
available and these will be steam cleaned after every use, allowing them to
continually use the garments. They strongly advise customers to order online and
their cut-off date for all orders is the 16 th August. Further details from:
