Mrs Cottrell offers impartial careers advice and guidance and co-ordinates the work experience for students in Year 10 and in Year 12.

Year 11 students are offered a careers appointment and invitations are arranged via the front office. Careers advice is flexible and you can get help with applications and extra information you may require. Mock interviews are arranged for Year 11 and sixth form students if they require further interview experience with employers. Employability Skills Awareness Days are also available.

We run an annual Careers Convention, where representatives are invited from Higher Education Institutions, Further Education Colleges, Training Providers, Employers and the Armed Forces.

Who can book?

The careers service is open to Years 11, 12 and 13 plus other students requiring the service earlier.

Where is it?

You’ll find us on the first floor, along the same corridor as the Examinations Officer, next to the Staff Room.

What is Kudos?

Our aim is to ensure that all students have the resources to fully explore and research their future options in order to make informed choices. To this end, Kudos is an online program, accessible from home, which helps parents with the important decisions you have to make about your future options.
