I have taken the difficult decision to keep the school closed today due to the significantly dangerous icy conditions. Some of the main roads are fine but side roads and pavements are not and the majority of our students walk or cycle to school and I do not wish to put students or parents at risk. School will be open for those 6th formers taking exams today. Staff who can walk into school and myself will be on site. School is open for 6th formers taking exams only as there will be a limited staff and limited catering. I’m sorry if you are inconvenienced by this decision but I have made it with the very best of intentions.
