Future Chef Cookery Competition
On Thursday, October 17th, students from Years 9 and 10 showcased their culinary skills in the highly anticipated FutureChef competition. This event is designed to inspire young people to explore their passion for cooking and provide them with pathways to future careers in the culinary arts.
The competition was fierce, with each participant presenting their unique dishes to a panel of judges. After much deliberation, Oscar from 10PAV emerged as the winner with his impressive chicken cordon bleu, accompanied by perfectly cooked new potatoes and green beans. His dish not only demonstrated technical skill but also creativity and flavour. In a close second place, Bobby from 10PAV wowed the judges with his delicious chicken kebab. They will be entered into a local heat with students from other local schools to see if they can progress to the next stage of the national competition.
The overall level of talent displayed during the competition was remarkable. Each participant brought their best to the table, and the effort and dedication shown by everyone was truly inspiring.
Congratulations to all the students who participated, and a special shoutout to Oscar and Bobby for their outstanding performances!
