Eco Club

Keep updated with all the fantastic things Eco Club and Mrs Hopkins are doing to promote environmental awareness.

4th October 2023
Yesterday, Eco Club made the most of the afternoon sunshine with an after-school litter pick./ They did an amazing job in making sure the school grounds were spotless.

Tuesday 21st November 2023

This afternoon, Eco Club have been making pine cone bird feeders. The pumpkin, sunflower and nigella seeds provide a wonderful alternative food source for our Great British birds over the winter months. Our Eco members will take them home to hang in their yards and gardens and will watch to see what visitors will arrive.

Tuesday 12th December 2023

Eco Club have been making fully recyclable 'green' Christmas baubles. How festive!

Tuesday 30th January 2024

A fantastic litter pick today in the fresh January afternoon sun. Our school grounds look neat and tidy thanks to the hard working and dedicated Eco Club, who successfully collected 3 bags of rubbish following recent storms, well done! 💚

Tuesday 27th February 2024

Eco club have been asking people to donate their used batteries as part of the UK wide Big Battery Hunt. 🔋 Tonight Eco Club did their first count ready to be dropped off at our local recycling ♻️ centre. Total batteries=376! Well done.

1st March 2024

Before half-term, Eco Club had a visit from Louise from the Wirral Neighbourhood Team and Lisa, a community police officer. The group discussed the environmental issues relating to traffic, parking and transport congestion on the streets around our school community.

Pupils completed online quizzes and gained a real understanding of the issue. The club will be working with the Neighbourhood Team to carry out some traffic surveys in the coming weeks.
